Alternative Provision
We are excited to share that we will be offering Catering based Alternative Provision sessions at The Old Chemist from Autumn 2026.

Our provision, Flourish, is an alternative provision programme for young people to learn cooking and catering skills in a professional kitchen, improve wellbeing, and gain employability skills .
Our flexible, holistic curriculum is specifically tailored for students age 11-18 years who are struggling to access mainstream education, those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), young people currently out of school, or those facing mental health challenges.
We offer an innovative and engaging sessions designed for young people to learn valuable industry skills through the art of high-quality pizza production.

The Old Chemist

The Old Chemist is the hub of most of our interaction with our local community. This Edwardian shop front on the street corner in Bitterne Park Triangle is a warm and welcoming space for Community, church and private hire events, including wellbeing activities, creative events and community gatherings. Church members are involved in different activities over the week and month at the Old Chemist that serve specific purposes or create particular spaces. Some of the activities held at the Old Chemist are organised and run by church members, some by other organisations and others in partnership between the church and other groups.
