Youth Ministry Coordinator

Oasis Church Southampton

Part time: 4 hours per week (0.1 FTE)

Salary: from £28,000 for 1 FTE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised candidate to work with our church youth, providing them with Sunday morning sessions and extra opportunities such as socials and joining wider Christian Youth sessions to build relationships. The young people are between 11 and 15 years old and most are children of adults who also attend our church. We are looking for someone who knows how to bring fun and energy but also has ideas and skills to inspire and guide the youth in building their own faith. Are you up for this challenge?

Being people focused, you will develop good working relationships with the young people, their parents/ carers and colleagues in the staff team, to ensure predictable and age appropriate provision. You will have sufficient Safeguarding knowledge to ensure that you and your team engage in ways that protect and promote the safety of the children.

Your strong skills in communication, IT, and team working will be key to this role. Developing session plans, communicating with volunteers, and planning outside activities, you will ensure consistent provision for our young people. You will be instrumental in helping young people to form positive peer relationships, a faith in God and love for the world around them, in line with the Oasis values and ethos.
